Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL)

The Cluster has facilitated several grants through the Kent Downs AONB (now Kent Downs National Landscape)

These include:

  • Owl boxes, one of which has a camera attached
  • Mink traps as part of the Water Vole restoration plan
  • Carbon monitoring together with environmental and regenerative grazing

John Dinnis and Partners at Filston Farm are the lead farmers. Their grant has been for No-fence collars and mobile handling. The mobile handling and collared cattle are available as a grazing service for Cluster members as part of the grant conditions.

Please speak to Marc Crouch for details.
